BC Hydro Grants

Available to: schools with a CRA charitable number and a project focus that aligns with their 3 priorities: workforce of tomorrow, safety and smart energy ideas.

Grant window: Next application intake is February 1 to March 31, 2022

Grant funding is available for initiatives that occur from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023

Grant value: $2000

Canada Post Community Foundation Grant

Available to: public & independent schools

Grant window: The 2022 application period will be open from March 7 to March 31, 2022

Grant value: $25,000

Canadian Tire Sponsorships

Available to: Non-profit organizations

Grant window: Ongoing

Grant value: Contact your local store for details

Community Spaces Funding

Available to: Registered charities & non-profit organizations in western Canada

Grant window: 2021 round is closed, check back in January, 2022 for further opportunities

Grant value: $25,000- $150,000

Evergreen School Garden Grants

Partners with school boards to make school grounds greener

Available to: public schools

Farm To Cafeteria Canada Grants

Available to: Canadian preschools and schools. Register online and use assigned hashtags on social media

Farm To School BC

Available to: K-12 schools in BC

Healthy Schools BC

Available to: public & independent schools

Learning For A Sustainable Future

Available to: pubic and private schools

Grant window: Open for 2022; the January 17 deadline is suspended due to COVID uncertainty, so apply now!

President’s Choice Nutrition Education Grants

New in 2020, this grant is offered to support food literacy education and may be used to cover the costs associated with programs like cooking classes, farm tours, dietician services, or equipment like green houses, growing towers or composting systems

Grant value: Up to $10,000

TD Friends of the Environment School Garden Grants

Available to: educational institutions and charitable organizations

Grant window: Two: winter deadline is January 15, 2022, summer deadline is July 15, 2022

Grant value: $2000-$8000

Tree Canada: Greening Canada’s School Grounds

Available to: public & independent schools
